Resolve root canal infections and preserve your natural teeth.

About our services

Root canal treatment (endodontics) is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the centre of a tooth. Root canal treatment is not painful and can save a tooth that might otherwise have to be removed completely.

Root canal treatment is needed when dental X-rays show that the pulp has been damaged by a bacterial infection (often picked up in a Routine Examination). The pulp may become inflamed if it's infected by bacteria, allowing the bacteria to multiply and spread.

Symptoms include:

  • Pain when biting or chewing returning
  • Swelling of the gum near the affected tooth
  • Pus oozing from the affected tooth
  • A swollen cheek or jaw
  • The tooth becoming a darker colour

If you're worried that you may be suffering from a Root Canal Infection, it is important that you make an appointment at your earliest convenience to prevent the issue progressing or causing complications such as tooth loss. If Root Canal Treatment is necessary following an assessment, we will thoroughly disinfect and enlarge the root canal so that it can be filled and sealed, and antibiotics or pain killers maybe prescribed if the pain is severe. We may also place a crown to cover the tooth if necessary to make it stronger and prevent further issues.

If you're suffering from any of the symptoms mentioned above, do not hesitate to get in touch for an initial assessment.
